Memeyu temewa? How is everyone doing? I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! This past weekend I got to go camping and do a lot of fun outdoor activities. I got to go hiking on a matetay (mountain) and fishing at a lake. I also got a chance to watch the sunset on the lake, it was so beautiful. I had so much fun on my mini adventure and it gave me a chance to enjoy nature. It made me think about how in today's modern world we often take for granted the simple things in life and don't really take the time to do more outdoor activities and to enjoy our natural environment. In Kumeyaay culture, nature which is everything from the nywchehaat (animals), chekwaa (plants) to the tuuhaat (trees) are viewed to be very important and is something that everyone should be connected to and respect.

ReplyDeleteOver the weekend I played with my Wii. The game I played was called Princesses. I played the game by myself. I needed a little help when I was playing the game. My mommy helped me to play the game. I do not like nature. I do not know why. For my dream adventure I would like to climb a hill with my whole family.

Hi Everyone! Thank you for responding back with all these wonderful comments! Wow,it looks like everyone had a good weekend and did a lot of fun things such as playing Wii, spending time with your siblings, going to a water park, swimming, playing soccer. You all are such an active group! As for nature, I'm glad that most of you enjoy nature such as trees and liking birds and dolphins, these are the great things that nature can offer to us and make the world such a beautiful and unique place.
